Superwash is a chemical treatment removing the "scales" from the fiber and the subsequent coating with a polymer that prevents the scales from felting and shrinkage.
Get inspired by our baby alpaca yarn: wearing comfort, optical properties, as well as the silky sheen and technical advantages such as moisture regulation, speak for themselves. Because: alpaca is a hollow fiber. It is temperature-compensating and can be processed in a much thinner quality than sheep wool or other natural fibers. Based on this unique temperature-compensation it can likewise be worn in winter as in summer. It does not itch nor crease and is apt for delicate and sensitive skin. Since alpaca wool does hardly contain any lanoline it is particularly apt for allergics. Thanks to its smooth fiber texture it is hardly prone to pilling or felting.
This item is also available as a single ball.
Care instructions: we recommend hand wash or dry cleaning. If washed in the machine only wash in the specific wool cycle at 30 degrees Celsius and with no spin cycle.
Afterward don't wring and lay flat to dry. This way you will rejoice in your handi-craft for a long time.
